Job Description

About the role

In this job you will be part of the management team of IKEA Retail Operation Solutions & Support. This is an organisation of more than 40 people within Inter IKEA Systems assigned to continuously develop, deliver and support retail processes and digital solutions to enable expansion and implementation of the IKEA Concept.

The scope is defined by the business processes that are dependent on digital products in order to function and is provided in a Retail Package consisting of business processes and IT systems to IKEA retailers. 

There are currently 11 franchisees outside the INGKA group operating 24 markets with more than 50 IKEA stores and 16 e-Commerce operations. The total turnover of these markets is around 4 Billion EUR. There are committed plans to open IKEA in 13 new markets in the coming 5 years as well as a number of new stores in existing countries. Supporting the future additional expansion of these markets is a large part of what Retail Operation Solutions & Support do.

In this assignment

You will work in close cooperation with the most of our franchisees and be in regular contact with the Retail IT Managers of these markets to understand their needs on business processes and digital products

Lead and develop people in the team, currently 10 direct reports, so as to enable them to realise the goals as stated in the action plan.

Lead and work closely together with peers across the totality of Core Business Franchise and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer.

Lead and develop suppliers used to develop and maintain the retail package together with retailers who are also using the same suppliers.

 

About you

You have in-depth understanding and recent experience of the IKEA business throughout the value chain as well as experience of leading a digital organisation.
