Job Description
We are looking for a new Market Manager leading one of the Market teams in Europe, located at several different sites in Älmhult, Kaunas, Moscow and Malacky. Location for the new Market Manager could be either Älmhult or Malacky.
It is the responsibility of the Market function at IKEA Components to be the one point of entry and to meet with the Home Furnishing Suppliers buying components from us. In the meeting with the Home Furnishing Suppliers, it is the responsibility of Market to manage, develop and improve the Home Furnishing Suppliers purchase of components, in order to reduce total cost of components, secure availability, sustainability and the right quality. It is also the Market function that collect demands, needs and expectations from the market and provide it back to IKEA Components different departments.
The role of the Market Manager is to lead and develop market operations and organisation and to secure that the development and performance is according to market overall goals and directions.

With knowledge and experience in the field of business development you have a strong capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver excellent results. You are able to lead on an operational/tactical level with the business strategy in mind. Your strong analytical skills and fact-based business leadership capabilities support making the right decisions and implementation. Your eagerness to build trust and partnership to reach common goals is remarkable. You are highly interested in understanding the markets we are working in as well as the reality of Home Furnishing production.
You come with good track record in current and previous positions, in leading and developing both business and people, you lead by example and have the ability to bring out the best in your team and the people and organisations you encounter. You identify very much with our values and enjoy creating an environment where the IKEA values are a strong and living reality.
As Market Manager your main assignments will be:
- Develop the business and deliver excellent result on all agreed KPI´s
- Set the business direction with clear Action Plan to improve and develop the business based on professional relations, trust and transparency
- Support co-workers to establish strong and professional relations and cooperation with both Home Furnishing Suppliers as well as IKEA Purchasing
- Lead co-worker and develop their competence
- Build a high performing team
- Budget and cost responsible for your team
- Compensation and benefit responsible for co-workers within the team
- Being a member of the Market Management
- Be part of develop the market roles and ways of working
