IKEA Supply is on a great journey and are looking for a sustainability leader who can help us in this transformation, both in business and as a spokesperson for IKEA Supply when it comes to our people and planet positive agenda. One of our most important movements in IKEA, is to become Climate positive by 2030. Transitioning into renewable energy in production including electricity, heating, cooling and other fuels are other important enablers in this change.
But we won’t stop there. The coming years are very ambitious and requires a visionary leadership. Some of our other change drivers:
Phase out of single-use plastic and an extensive material innovation agenda
IKEA has decided to remove all single-use plastic products from our range.
100% certified wood and responsible sourcing
IKEA has taken a bold step and decided that all wood used by the company should be FCS certified. Responsible sourcing is also important when it comes to animal welfare, textiles and other raw materials we are using.
It takes both brains and heart to work with us
At IKEA you don’t have to choose between hard-core business and a conscience. We are guided by our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people in everything that we do. That’s a responsibility that goes beyond the home through the impact of our business and the role we have in society. We want to sit in the driving seat towards a more sustainable society – both in terms of the environmental and social betterments.
The initiatives shown above are just three examples in which IKEA Supply play a crucial role. Our job is to facilitate for IKEA to do good business while being a good business. In our daily work we need to follow both our brains and hearts to get the job done.
