Job Description
Right now, we’re setting up the Assignment Development Team within Product Pictures & Films as part of Product Communication and we are looking for a 3D Artist.
The Assignment Development Team will help lead the Product Communication development agenda with a customer-centric mind-set and the aim of strengthening the IKEA brand with a positive impact of the business, always ready for the needs of tomorrow.
As a 3D Artist you will be responsible for securing a lean and effective production of high quality photo realistic 3D Images and films. This will include delivering in time with high quality, at low cost and with a strong commitment in creating the most efficient working situation. You will lead and develop our internal and external 3D suppliers and artists, and also contribute to the decision of production methods for images and films and keep up-to-date with technical development and trends.
Examples of responsibilities in this role could be:
- To combine creativity, technology and story-telling, to produce high quality 3D images of products, room settings and environments, both still and motion that delivers to the brief and IKEA´s communication strategy
- To optimize and find efficiencies within the processes
- Leading by example and motivate to enhance concepts for maximizing output
- To build for lean production, efficiency and automation. Up to date with new technology
- Developing processes, tools, guidelines and WoW – raising the base line together with the team
- Ensuring capacity for volume and scalability
- Keeping up-to-date with new 3D, animation and image processing techniques and trends, and adopt early
- To perform basic editing and retouching when needed, such as cropping, colour correction and other specialized effects
- Compile and store all images and scenes in accordance to the set guidelines, frame work and technical pipeline
- Building and maintaining good professional relationships and close cooperation with the project team, partners and assignors
- To use IKEA values as a basis in the daily work
Qualifications
Our 3D Specialists are people with passion for action, lead, speed, processes and creativity!
You'll need:
- 5+ years working experience in architectural visualization, 3D, or relevant area, preferably with a background as a Lead Artist
- Expert knowledge within 3Ds MAX and V-RAY
- Great understanding of camera and lighting in 3D
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine, Unity, After Effects, Nuke, (Houdini) is an advantage
- To be familiar with Windows, Mac OS, Raw converters, Photoshop, Z-brush and Marvellous Designer
- Experience in 3D Modelling & UV Mapping, Composition, Animation, storytelling, and Post-production
- Experience in VR and or AR
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
