About the job

As our new colleague and Business Administrator, you will simultaneously be handling several varying tasks and your colleagues will count on your support in their day-to-day operations to run smoothly. You will secure that our administrative routines are lean and simple, as well as communicated and followed by all co-workers in the department. In this role, you will be reporting to Business Navigation Manager Robert Törnqvist.

The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.

About the assignment

Your main responsibilities as Business Administrator are:
- Ensuring the administrative information flow and routines
- Securing an efficient invoice handling and purchasing process and contributing to cost follow-ups, budgets and forecasts
- General introduction to new co-workers within the department
- Coordinating and organizing common meetings
- Asset- and access management
- Being involved in the coordination of rebuilding’s and enabling a good working environment.

Furthermore, with the support of the matrix, you will be contributing to the development of guidelines and common ways of working. You will be acting as an ambassador for IKEA and Livingroom & Workspaces as Business Area when meeting co-workers in different situations.

About you

We are looking for a service-minded administrator with a strong passion for people. You enjoy the coordinating role and providing for the needs of many while supporting the business and in performing your administrative tasks. You have strong communication skills, are able to make fast decisions and strong in building relationships with people around you. As a person you take initiative and have the courage to question and challenge. Having a good financial understanding is a merit as handling invoices is a big part of the job.

Since IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world, you need to be fluent in English. If you have a university degree within Business Administration or equivalent, it is a merit.
