Job Description
The Sales & Business Development team is the link between our customers and the wider business. We champion our customers' needs, build strong relationships, bring new products and services to market, and maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance.
As our Key Customer Account Manager, you'll be responsible for building and growing relationships with some of our most important customers. You'll work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes, identify growth opportunities, and help drive long-term commercial success.
Your Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts and act as their primary point of contact.
- Develop and deliver account plans that support customer priorities and business objectives.
- Oversee the commercial management of customer contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are continuously met by both parties.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and enhance the customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to expand services, grow revenue, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Represent the customer voice across the business to support operational improvements and product development.
- Build strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Contribute to a safe, healthy and compliant workplace
Qualifications
This role would suit a commercially minded relationship manager who enjoys building trusted customer partnerships and delivering outcomes in a service-based environment. You'll bring experience managing strategic customer relationships and long-term commercial agreements, with the ability to understand complex customer needs, navigate technical and operational discussions, and identify opportunities that create value for both the customer and the business. Industry experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, telecommunications, or a similarly technical environment will be highly regarded, as it will help you quickly understand customer challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts and long-term customer relationships.
- Proven experience managing complex commercial contracts and ensuring contractual obligations and service levels are met.
- A customer-focused, outcomes-driven approach with the ability to balance customer needs with business objectives.
- The ability to manage complex customer and operational issues, working collaboratively across the business to drive outcomes and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing account plans and identifying opportunities that drive customer value and account growth.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, with a strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand complex products, services and customer environments.
