Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Report Engineer with extensive experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and report design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, and will be responsible for creating and managing complex reports that provide valuable insights to our business.

As a Report Engineer, you will be working together with a team of skilled software engineers to build out and maintain our Equity Management SaaS Application. 

You will be responsible for implementing new features, enhancements, and fixes to the product through work items planned in the sprint. 

You will be working in a product team, alongside Dev and QA Engineers, following an Agile SDLC to create new products and maintain existing applications built with C#, .Net, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL.  You will be a great fit for this position if quality is at the forefront of your development best practices and you are willing to continuously learn new things to better yourself, your career, and our products.   

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools.
• Craft visually appealing and informative dashboards and reports
• Gather and analyze business requirements to create reporting solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and reports.
• Optimize and enhance reporting processes and methodologies.
• Provide training and support to users on BI tools and reporting solutions.
• Analyze existing systems and propose improvements and new solutions.
• Focus and commitment to solving complex software development items that meet customer expectations.
• Be involved with SDLC from requirements to test but own executing development of features & bug fixes that is clean, reusable, maintainable code
• Build quality into all tasks, ensure adequate unit testing and support quality assurance engineers in testing completed items
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in database management

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in report engineering and BI tools
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience in designing and developing interactive reports and dashboards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with GIT
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong collaboration skills

Preferred skills:

• Experience building apps in financial domain is a plus.
• Experience working in web applications built with .Net, Angular is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Oracle Cloud solutions
