Job Description

insightsoftware is seeking a Sr. Director of Product Operations to join our Product Management team and help drive the successful execution and measurement of our strategic initiatives. Your mission will be to enable our cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to operate as effectively as possible.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop, facilitate, and oversee sound operational processes and program management practices in support of the Products organization. This is a leadership role, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record partnering with and influencing executives, managing complex programs, strategic and tactical execution of operational processes, and strong working knowledge of software development lifecycles.

What will you do? 

  • Program Management: 
    • Acquisition Integration:  Assist in the execution of business initiatives during newly acquired company integration/transition period.  This includes leading the new team as they map their desired GTM structure into the insightsoftware portfolio and product master.  Product Operations also ensures new product team members are onboarded and set up for success.

 

    • Pricing Strategy: in collaboration with a Sr. pricing analyst, own the end-to-end annual price increase process; provide leadership support for other pricing efforts including annual modeling, uplifts, discounting models, shifts to subscription, bundling, etc.
    • Organizational Readiness:  Lead a small, global program management team responsible for the organizational readiness function for ISW.  This includes owning and improving the current organizational readiness process and framework, ensure the product delivery is tightly coordinated with go-to-market activities such as pricing & packaging, sales & marketing activities and collateral all leading to achievement of product growth targets. Lead early adopter programs for strategic initiatives and ensure customers, partners, and internal stakeholders (From Sales to Services to Support) are prepared for launch.
    • Strategic initiatives:  In collaboration with the GMs and Pillar Leads, develop and scale strategic programs such as the annual product strategy and roadmap process, partner with PM leads to define and operationalize notable portfolio changes including migrations, accelerated shifts to SaaS, product modernizations, etc. 
    • Product Systems and Analysis: manage small team on point for product systems maintenance, process management and data analysis.

Other:  Partner with the leadership team on executive strategies and deliverables for board materials, QBRs, and more.

Qualifications

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate: 

  • Cross-functional leadership – proven ability to lead and drive project execution across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success 
  • Drive and grit – operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus and determination to achieve high-quality results 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Information Systems, Communication or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of Product Management and/or operational experience in a top software company or innovative technology startup (or equivalent experience)
  • Has expertise working with a cloud-based, software-as-a-service products and platform
  • Natural curiosity and solutions-oriented mindset that leads to proactively coming to the table with creative solutions 
  • Strong leadership skills; able to lead, develop, and manage a growing team of people 
  • Strong presentation skills combined with the ability to present data in a way that is persuasive to all audiences 
  • Mix of analytical mindset, technical abilities, business acumen, and personal drive 
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills - able to manage up or down in the organization 
     
  • Strong background working at an established global company supporting a dispersed team of Product Team Members 
  • Excellent coaching and teamwork skills with experience managing product managers

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency working with product roadmap software (Aha!) and CRM data (Salesforce) 
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adjust to changes in project priorities 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
