Job Description
The insightsoftware Finance team is looking for a Vice President of Revenue/Order-to-Cash to join us in our Raleigh, NC headquarters or remote. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will oversee the revenue operations, order-to-cash and revenue accounting teams to drive accurate and timely revenue-related results. The order to cash function led by this role includes order management and transaction processing functions. This individual acts as a strategic resource supporting the sales organization and takes a leading role planning and executing acquisition integrations. This role will also support system application management to support business processes in the most effective way possible to provide data and business results to business stakeholders,
Responsibilities
- Oversee all processes supporting the order-to-cash functions, including credit, collections, order management, licensing and fulfillment, billing/invoicing, and the channel partner/reseller function
- Own all revenue accounting and supporting processes and functions, including software licensing and professional services revenue streams. Candidate should have a strong understand of revenue recognition rules under ASC 606 and 605, particularly in a software environment
- Support analytical review of business results and external audit activities
- Oversee the integration of revenue and revenue supporting processes in a highly acquisitive and fast-paced environment, including migration of contracts and all system configuration of customer entitlements and contractual performance obligations
- Oversee the commissions processes and the feeding/dependency of data that supports the sales compensation cycle and payment process. Ensure that all relevant data points are appropriately captured systematically and serve as a key resource to partner with sales operations on compensation plan operational best practices and structure
- Oversee the application and maintenance of a system of internal controls to ensure the timely and accurate execution of process steps and tasks
- Establish key performance indicators to evaluate and measure the operational effectiveness of the OTC processes and drive continuous improvements
- Act as a key partner with the business applications/IT team and other technical resources to analyze and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, and system integrations
- Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a program or initiative, including supporting the design, development, delivery, and management of communications
- Oversee the development and maintenance of operational policies, procedures, and/or user guides
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

- Collaborative Attentive to Detail – lead team with focus on accurate order processing and billing to avoid lost revenue with a focus on accurate annual recurring revenue and compliance with Company policies
Minimum qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience leading order to cash and revenue teams in a global/multi-national organization
- Experience with acquisitions, acquisition accounting and acquisition integrations
- Experience managing functions in an offshore shared services environment
- Experience with technical accounting and revenue recognition in a software company
- People management experience, including the ability to lead a large, geographically disbursed team
- Effective communicator and problem solver; ability to handle stress
- Salesforce and NetSuite experience a plus.
- CPA credentials are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably accounting or finance
