Job Description
As the Global Payroll Director at insightsoftware you will champion the innovation required to deliver 100% accuracy of employee final pay. You will oversee large data sets to identify opportunities, drive process improvements, build and standardize process controls, and ensure efficient and effective operations. Success in this role will involve driving cross-functional partnerships to identify, design, and implement efficient workflows to achieve the delivery of an associate’s final pay.
This position will oversee payroll operations covering over 2,000 employees in over 30 countries across Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. In the first twelve months, this role will act as a functional lead in the configuration, testing and deployment of a new HRIS/payroll platform ensuring automated interfaces between HRIS and payroll for a globally integrated provider. The Director of Payroll will lead review and documentation of payroll dependencies to ensure correct configuration in payroll system and will design processes to ensure the timely and accurate manual collection and input of data to the payroll system.
What will you do?
- Oversees the daily workflows of the payroll department supporting 2000 people internationally across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions in 30 countries.
- Drives process change and improvements in collaboration with HR, Accounts Payable, Sales Ops/Commissions, treasury, and other vested partners.
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with country, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates financial and 401k audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Ensures timely payroll-related account reconciliations in conjunction with month-end close.
- Collaborates with treasury and accounts payable team to ensure payroll and payroll related expenses are funded.
- Contributes to year-end audit and completes year end reconciliations
- Maintains and improves payroll processes and policies

Qualifications
- 15+ years related payroll management experience in a global organization exhibiting deep knowledge of payroll best practices, and management of tax and benefit payment processes.
- Thrives in fast-paced and growing environments with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence with an understanding of the audience
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other managers and employees
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels both verbally and in writing with the ability to influence change
- Payroll accounting experience with an emphasis on detail reconciliations
