Job Description
Confirms the accuracy of daily shipment activities, communicates with carriers and internal teams, resolves transit issues, and maintains accurate documentation to support operational efficiency. Coordinates, monitors, and optimizes the movement of goods to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery across all transportation modes. The position requires strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to support smooth transportation operations.
- Maintains Miscellaneous Ship Forms and Bill of Lading for Operations, Customer Service and Finance.
- Ensures adherence to Great Britain–specific transportation requirements, including proper export documentation, commercial invoices, commodity codes, and compliance with UK customs regulations, carrier mandates, and post‑Brexit trade procedures, as well as international requirements for all carriers.
- Coordinates, monitors, and optimizes the movement of goods across all transportation modes to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
- Resolves transit issues promptly to minimize delays and ensure service reliability as well as shipping discrepancies by reviewing Oracle and DMS systems.
- Provides Proof of Delivery requests for internal and external customers.
- Process claims and tracers for all carriers.
- Reconciles freight invoices from Customer, Vendors and Carriers.
- Approves carrier invoices.
- Obtain and maintains Pro Numbers in LSI DMS system for all LTL carriers.
- Analyzes carriers’ invoices to maintain LSI freight cost including working with the Customer, CSR, Vendor or Carriers on billing errors, discount, and freight terms
- Resolves customer, vendor or carrier delivery issues such as refusing shipments, refusing payment upon delivery, changing shipping methods, expediting shipment or deliveries held in customs.
- Arranges the inbound and outbound LTL & Trucks shipments.
- Research chargeback due to address correction.
- Utilizes strong knowledge of Letters of Authority to verify carrier compliance, prevent unauthorized freight movement, and support accurate onboarding and documentation processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL functions, including querying, data validation, and troubleshooting within transportation or logistics systems.
- Knowledge of Distribution Management Screens
- Knowledge of mathematics and accounting as it relates to billing and invoicing
- Knowledge of commercial freight carrier requirements
- Knowledge of warehouse operations systems and equipment
- Knowledge of shipping and delivery systems
- Personal computing skills including MS Office applications

Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required and 3 years’ experience in customer service with at least 2 years’ experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operational field. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
