Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Senior Key Account Sales Manager to contribute to our IngramSpark team.  This person will be based in our Lavergne, TN office in the greater Nashville area.  

In this role, the Senior Key Account Sales Manager: sells Ingram distribution and IngramSpark print and digital services to existing and prospective book publishing accounts and clients in the content business. Develops selling and service relationships throughout all levels of the Publisher’s organization.  Develops and forecasts sales targets and appropriately manages expenses within the territory.  Seeks out and becomes comfortable with all Ingram products and lines of business, web-based systems and other internal software and reporting suites. Creates meaningful deals with assigned accounts while supporting larger business strategies. Assumes a role of data thought leadership to help soft sell into strategic publishers. Effectively works with internal and external stakeholders to meet sales and growth targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance related field
  • 5 years’ work experience in sales analysis, contractual/bid preparations and/or financial/business analysis
  • 3 years in a supervisory position, lead support role, or in managing projects 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RFP’s
  • Experience using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Leadership/Managerial experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, hires, trains, and manages the team, including setting clear expectations, delivering direct performance feedback, and managing performance gaps professionally. 
  • Researches, provides financial and business-related analysis and makes discount/pricing recommendations for bids, contracts, pricing agreements, and Memorandum of Understanding’s. 
  • Oversees the bid review process, holding the team accountable for the completeness, professionalism, and accuracy of their submissions  
  • Monitors sales and term compliance on major contracts.
  • Manages all library pricing and agreement renewals as well as the standard pricing for value-added services components. 
  • Identifies and implements processes and technologies to improve the overall operations of his/her teams. 
  • Advises bid team on RFPs and formalized pricing agreements in regard to cataloging and processing requirements, customized services and service level expectations. 
  • Ensures associate development and customer service levels meet expectations through active coaching and consistent performance management 
  • Supports the sales team and provides timely and accurate analytical decision support. 
  • Sets team goals and executes strategies to meet deadlines. 
  • Develops and executes department operational budget process. 
  • Provides analysis of business models and service offerings and makes recommendations for changes 
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult conversations and resolve team conflicts effectively or strong emotional intelligence and coaching skills. 

Hiring Salary Range: $84,895 - $107,643. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
