Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting an Intermediate Systems Engineer to join our team in LaVergne, TN. (Nashville, TN).  This person designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organizations system’s infrastructure while proactively ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. This position will require you to be in our headquarters for a minimum of 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or directly related year for year experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as a System Engineer or equivalent role.

We have a preference for:

  • Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, PVS, MCS, StoreFront, FAS, and NetScaler.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with Windows environments that include DNS, DHCP, GPO’s, Active Directory Sites and Services, IIS, PKI, Windows Failover Clustering, and other Windows Server technologies.
  • Knowledge of and ability to set file level permissions, server hardening, and knowing when to use group nesting and when not to nest. Setup Windows Firewalls via local or GPO.
  • Ability to deploy and support Windows Servers, Nutanix AHV and VMware ESXi server operating systems, familiar with SAN/NAS, iSCSI and Nutanix storage pools.
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, Nutanix, Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer
  • Knowledge of centralized configuration management and policy enforcement, ensuring settings are applied through domain-level Group Policy or equivalent tools rather than local configurations.
  • Ability to stage and test changes in a controlled environment to prevent unintended impact on production systems or other business units.
  • Current understanding of IT security best practices and server hardening.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting physical servers of different brands or types, Super-micro, Dell, HP Servers including networking, IPMI, storage and patching and firmware as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting either hardware or software load balancers, such as F5, NetScaler, HAProxy, or Nginx
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing scripting languages such as Python, VBScript and PowerShell
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing software deployment tools such as Azure DevOPS, Active Directory, NinjaOne
  • Working knowledge of application containerization platforms such as Docker, CRI-O, or Container and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm

The Windows Systems Engineer key responsibilities are:

  • Troubleshoots problems related to physical and virtual infrastructure performance and resolve trouble tickets as assigned
  • Manages, participates, or performs tasks related to specific projects to implement new technology as assigned
  • Builds, configures, integrates, deploys and tests infrastructure components, operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Designs, builds, maintains and monitors systems and platforms ensuring they consistently exceed defined goals for availability, capacity, efficiency, scalability, and performance
  • Builds, implements, and maintains security, redundancy, and backup strategies
  • Evaluates, maintains, and modifies established ‘best practices’ for infrastructure maintenance and asset management
  • Maintains consistent documentation for system configurations, installation and administration procedures.
  • Utilizes configuration automation tools such as NinjaOne, PowerShell, Active Directory, VBScript.
  • Interacts regularly with senior engineers to identify, build, and implement automation to drive greater efficiencies and standards
  • Deploys, configures, manages and maintains system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, CheckMK, Splunk, Windows Server tools.
  • Organizes priorities, escalate problems as needed and communicate effectively with manager, co-workers and other staff members.
  • Consults with Ingram associates, vendors, and trading partners to evaluate business opportunities related to our technology infrastructure

Hiring Salary Range: $95,295 - $120,834. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
