Job Description

Ingram Content Group is hiring for Mail Clerk to start immediately with our mailroom in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville Area). This person would be responsible for performing multiple functions in Mail Services related to incoming and outgoing mail, expedited deliveries, customer mailings, daily invoices, financial and targeted mailings.  Performs inter-office mail delivery and pick-up. Processes outgoing USPS mail using postage meters, uses basic computer skills to process parcels, via UPS and FedEx, using custom shipping systems, and manually fills out bills of lading for Spring and other carriers. Performs receipt, logging and confirmed delivery of inbound expedited deliveries. Performs collating, folding, and stuffing of mailings. Provides mailing assistance to our internal and external customers.

Schedule: M-F 7:30 am-4:30p OT if needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High school education or GED
  • 6 months experience in mailroom service or shipping or receiving.
  • 6 months customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service to associates to include answering questions in person or over the phone about mail services and arranging deliveries. 
  • Performs daily sorting of USPS and inter-office mail pieces.
  • Performs receipt, logging and confirmed delivery of expedited deliveries
  • Processes outgoing mail, via USPS, UPS, FedEx and other carriers daily.
  • Provides inter-office mail delivery, pick-up and processing.
  • Performs collating, folding and stuffing of financial and targeted mailings.
  • Support Marketing department in mailing services for promotional items
  • Ability to be flexible and satisfy customer demands in a high volume environment
  • Ability to adhere to the Standards of Excellence identified by Corporate Services management
  • Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time
  • Ability to engage in active listening with coworkers, management and clients/customers
  • Knowledge of organization, operating procedures and policies of the company
  • Ability to apply new knowledge, technology and procedure to job responsibilities

  • Ability to work effectively using a personal computer and phone equipment for long periods, PC skills to include Excel and Word
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate hand carts, hand jacks and other mailroom services equipment
  • Requires constant bending and reaching
