Job Description
Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Sr. Manager, Trade Show & Events to join our team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.
In this role, you will oversee and manage all of Ingram Content Group global trade shows and events and select internal associate events (e.g. but not limited to sales conferences, cross-department meetings, associate recognition events, etc.). You will partner with business leaders to create and execute events, maintain ICG brand standards, support sales and marketing opportunities, and business goals for all represented companies/divisions. You’ll also help build and maintain annual budgets and manage expenses for all trade shows and events.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or marketing or directly related year for year experience
- Minimum of 7 years experience leading and executing trade shows, events, promotions or other customer-related marketing programs and activations
- 3 years experience managing, motivating, training & leading teams directly or indirectly
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing internal and external corporate shows & events
- Experience leading the planning and execution of large trade shows
- Experience managing large budgets
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with business leaders to develop a comprehensive ICG annual event plan, a key component to the annual strategic marketing plan, to meet / exceed ICG goals.
- Manages trade show and events team to execute global trade shows, conferences, and ICG events.
- Builds budget based on annual event plan and manages show and event spending to stay at or below target budget.
- Partners with sales and marketing leadership to get the most from association memberships, show management offers and sponsorships, and event communication options.
- Manages and adjusts event calendar.
- Produce meetings and events for ICG clients and customers, associates, and other relevant people to support business initiatives and goals.
- Manages pre- and post-show communications to ICG participating ICG associates and leadership.
- Ensures all participants (including ICG associates, clients, or business partners) understand agendas, logistics, and action items pre-show as well as provide event results (e.g., attendance, budgets, etc.) to stakeholders to evaluate level of show / event success.
- Looks for and shares opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, or sponsorships to support ICG business objectives.
- Tracks and manages fees due from other ICG or clients as part of show/event costs.
- Maintains inventory of show event property including booth spaces, equipment, furniture, giveaways, and other items relevant to ICG events and shows.
- Works with marketing and businesses to maintain Ingram brand standards and image.
- Supports and / or manages events for our publisher distribution businesses and publisher partners.
- Collaborates with businesses to maximize trade show presence to meet objectives and budgets.
- Communicates regularly with business leadership, including C-staff, as required.
