Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Sr. Reconciliation Clerk to contribute to our Credit team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.  This is a hybrid position; however, this person must live in the local area.

Utilizing knowledge of Ingram policies and procedures related to reconciliation, intermediate word processing/spreadsheet skills and 10-key by touch, you will research, evaluate and match customer claims to credit memos.  In this role, you’ll respond to questions from other Reconciliation Clerks and Credit associates regarding assigned portfolio consisting of more difficult accounts. As the Sr. Reconciliation Clerk, you must be able to handle all types of customer claims and have a good understanding of what Ingram departments should assist or be involved.  At times, you may serve as a floater between Reconciliation groups, Independent and National accounts, and assist with training other Reconciliation Clerks.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years+ Ingram Accounting experience (i.e., Reconciliation Clerk, Cash Application, Credit Processing, Accounts Payable Representative, Accounting Clerk, Credit), OR 3 years’ experience in an accounting function (i.e., Accounts Receivable, Teller, Accounts Payable) that includes account reconciliation and related research

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic to Intermediate level Excel skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all processes and systems; subject matter expert to field questions from Reconciliation Clerks.
  • Reviews monthly denied items spreadsheets before being released to customer or Ingram Management.
  • Identifies variances between customer terms of sales utilizing the TOS system in Business Partners and the Customer’s Memorandum of Understanding; reviews credit memos and customer claims for exceptions to terms of sale and communicate exceptions to management. 
  • Researches, evaluates, and analyzes customer claims and notifies customer of variance; Creates a denied claim Excel spreadsheet monthly to balance accounts receivable balance at month-end for each customer in the assigned portfolio; forwards a copy of the denied claims to each customer by email and copies all appropriate Credit Department associates for collection purposes.
  • Communicates and reports to customers and senior management; recognizes potential customer issues and escalates to next level management for review with all necessary information and research complete. 
  • Performs all duties within reconciliation, including unacceptable reporting, return auto-match, and be prepared to discuss open reconciliation issues with management.
  • Prepares credit or debit allowances due customer up to $100.00 and obtain additional authorizations as mandated in Ingram Policy & Procedures “Levels of Authority”.
