Job Description

Job Title:  Project Manager

Job Summary 

Responsible of managing projects of key clients / ICG projects, by managing project activities with support teams across Ingram Lightning Source

Develops and implements project plans and metrics and to support the wider Ingram business.

Communicates the timeline and action plan to stakeholders, until the project ends.

Working proactively with the Sales Operations team based in our LaVergne, TN headquarters.

Must maintain a positive attitude, deliver projects to a high standard following the team’s project disciplines. Must be agile / proactive and have the ability to work independently when applicable in a fast passed busy environment

Essential Job Duties: 

Defines the scope of project with the client & develops procedures and metrics, to fully integrate client with LS and manage these projects to completion.

Develops, incorporates and communicates any process improvements and enhancements to project / integration plan that will benefit both LSUK and the client.

Transitions the project into a BAU environment once approval has been met from the project team. Delivering a project closure document to support the team.

Understands client’s system requirements and limitations and adapts approach accordingly.

Provides client with acceptable formats for data exchange, confirming that titles and metadata information are acquired and are set up correctly in LSUK systems.

Works with assigned Account Representative and EDI Department, or both, to validate title metadata; identifying and reporting any errors to client and successfully working to get issue resolved.

Presents client solutions in determining IT needs & supplies IT with information on client’s enterprise system.

Integrates plan execution for assigned publishers.

Oversees progress against the project /integration plan, and communicates appropriately, both internally and externally, providing regular and timely status information to client and LS departments

Ensures billing and financial arrangements have been properly established with LS’s Finance group

Negotiates with client for delivery of information and solutions for any issues that arise

Develops processes, metrics, training materials and leads workshop sessions for the wider department.

Provides flexible and adaptable project management services to the wider Ingram Business.

Integrates key/complex clients, ensuring client understands LSUK’s Operating Manual

Deputise for Manager in their absence

To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting your colleagues in order to maintain a safe environment.

To report any accidents, potential hazards to your Line Manager immediately.

Perform such other duties requested by line management.

Essential Physical Demands:

Ability to occasionally lift and carry

Ability to operate computer equipment, including keyboard and monitor, phone equipment and other necessary office equipment

Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time

Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time

Ability to travel and work out of hours as required

Qualifications

Qualifications (Typical Experience, Typical Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities): 

Experience:

IT Systems savvy in programming language XML / HTML to intermediate /advanced level - desirable

3 years Project Management experience and Prince II Qualified desirable

5 years Project Management Software experience desirable

Education:

Degree Level Education

Skills:

Pdfx, Google, Oracle, Microsoft Projects and Office Suite

Ability to apply new knowledge, technologies, and procedures to job responsibilities

Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands

Attention to detail

Ability to demonstrate personal computing skills including PC based applications (Office, Excel, Word and Outlook programs) and web browsers

Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time

Ability to engage in active listening with coworkers, management and clients/customers

Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations

Effective communication skills – both written and verbal.

Knowledge of databases and able to demonstrate proficiency in and perform numerous tasks in databases

Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.

Other languages are desirable.

Publishing background a distinct advantage.

Must be comfortable working in a remote office environment
