Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Executive to join our Inside Sales Team. This role will focus on driving net new business within the community college market by selling our innovative new product directly to this growing segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in inside sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with educational institutions.

This is a temporary direct hire position for 6 months. Closing date for applications: XXX

What you'll be doing:

  • Sales Development & Execution
    • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the community college market
    • Conduct outbound sales activities including cold calling, email campaigns, and virtual presentations to generate qualified leads
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets
    • Present product features, benefits, and value propositions tailored to the specific needs of community college stakeholders
  • Relationship Management
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including faculty, librarians, department heads, and administrators at community colleges
    • Understand customer needs and challenges to position our products as effective solutions
    • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in CRM systems
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback
    • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Proven inside sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Tele-sales experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products and markets

Experience in scholarly communications, academic publishing, or higher education is a plus but not required as full training will be provided.
