Job Description

This role is based in our Amsterdam, Netherlands Office

The Food and Nutrition portfolio currently offers B2B digital marketing services to food and nutrition ingredients companies by building on the success of our ecosystem comprising online directories, newsletters, webinar series and world-renowned trade shows.

In the coming years, we are looking to accelerate the growth of our content offerings. To achieve this, we are looking for a content editor to support the production and publication of editorial content varying from reports and whitepapers to articles, interviews, and videos covering key topics around food and nutraceutical ingredients.

The Content Editor reports to the Managing Editor. Our collaborative team is made up of content programmers, content editors, and digital product specialists focused on producing and publishing engaging content for online and in-person food and nutrition audiences.

Our content is published on three leading B2B websites with a global focus: Ingredients Network, which covers food and nutrition industry news relating to ingredients and finished products; Fi Global Insights, which covers insights about product development and food ingredient R&D; and Vitafoods Insights, which covers news about nutraceuticals, food supplements, scientific research, and functional health products.

In this role you will:

  • Research, write, and publish editorial content on key topics related to food and nutraceutical ingredients, varying from reports and whitepapers to articles, interviews, and videos
  • Write and publish content required for our events, websites, newsletters, social media, and community platforms
  • Support execution of the editorial publishing strategy to drive engagement on our current food and nutrition platforms, as well as on any yet-to-be-launched platforms
  • Support the team to ensure our newsletters deliver on subscriber KPIs and sponsorship targets
  • Speak, moderate, and participate in online and in-person events and webinars
  • Deepen our team’s food and nutrition industry expertise through desktop research, networking, and building strong partnerships with key content partners

Responsibilities:

  • Editorial content production: Work with the Managing Editor, Head of Publishing, and key industry partners to research, write, and edit reports, whitepapers, articles, interviews, videos, and other collateral required to support online and in-person programme delivery
  • Editorial publishing strategy: Write and publish content for our websites and newsletters on Ingredients Network, Fi Global Insights, and Vitafoods Insights
  • Moderating and interviewing: Research and moderate webinars and panel discussions, conduct interviews, and participate in the content programme at both online and in-person events

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a journalist or editor (EN), producing and publishing content on topics related to food and nutraceutical ingredients
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or similar
  • Experience at writing high-quality, engaging content and meticulous attention to detail when proofreading own or other content editors’ work
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence at public speaking
  • Willingness to travel
