Job Description

The Senior Analyst will deliver market intelligence on consumer electronics and IoT, focusing on wearable technology, smart personal audio devices, and the connected ecosystem across EMEA and North America. This role combines analytical expertise, independent insight ownership, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will work independently while collaborating with the team leader to shape research priorities, deliverables, and client interactions. The role also requires flexibility to work with global teams and clients across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

    Market Intelligence Collection and Reporting

    • Evaluate product strategies and go-to-market strategies of leading consumer IoT manufacturers, including global strategy, regional priorities, product pricing, market positioning, distribution strategies, and partnerships.
    • Conduct ongoing primary research through interviews with manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to gather high-quality sell-in data and market intelligence across EMEA and North America.
    • Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts across the wearable and IoT value chain.
    • Work closely with data analyst teams to combine primary research findings with secondary data sources, creating comprehensive market models.
    • Contribute to quarterly market trackers and forecast reports, ensuring alignment with regional and global teams.

    Data Ownership and Insight Development

    • Take ownership of vendor sell-in shipment data and market models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and client readiness.
    • Validate data quality, identify risks, and address gaps or inconsistencies.
    • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights that support client decision-making.
    • Provide evidence-based recommendations by synthesizing data, vendor strategies, and competitive analysis.

    Client Engagement and Communication

    • Act as key contact for regional client communication regarding regional insights and data-related inquiries, supported by the global analyst team and findings from primary research.
    • Lead client engagements, including briefings, Q&A sessions, and discussions, ensuring clear and structured delivery of insights tailored to diverse stakeholders.
    • Anticipate client needs and proactively deliver actionable insights on product planning, portfolio strategy, and market entry.
    • Collaborate effectively with clients and team members across multiple time zones to ensure timely communication and delivery of insights.

    Commercial and External Communication

    • Contribute to developing new research initiatives on wearable technology and IoT market dynamics.
    • Support PR, blogs, and marketing activities to promote research insights and thought leadership.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure client requests and research needs are met promptly.
    • Support sales and marketing activities in business development, leveraging research insights to drive commercial opportunities.

    This role requires occasional travel in different regions to attend industry events, meet with contacts, and conduct in-person research.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience

    • 5 years in market analysis, consulting, research, or a related analytical role.
    • Experience in consumer electronics, technology markets, or IoT is highly desirable.

    Communication

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to business executives.
    • Confident in handling client questions and managing expectations independently.
    • Experience delivering client-facing outputs, briefings, or advisory discussions.

    Analytical Skills

    • Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and market models, translating them into actionable insights.
    • Strong understanding of research methodologies and data limitations.
    • High attention to detail and a sense of ownership over analytical outputs.

    Market Awareness

    • Strong understanding of Western market dynamics and business practices.
    • Ability to adapt global data to regional client needs.

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with AI, consumer IoT, or platform-based business models.
    • Exposure to global datasets or multi-country market analysis.
    • Experience supporting consulting, advisory, or client-facing research projects.
