Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer.

  • Provide L1/L2 application support for business-critical banking applications in a 24/7 environment.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health, ensuring high availability and service quality.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Support production deployments, releases, and change management activities.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution activities.
  • Collaborate with global technology, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, resilience, and reliability.
  • Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Linux environments, including CLI administration and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or Concourse.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
  • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and automating scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical applications within financial services or banking environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on service reliability and operational excellence.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
