Job Description

The Test Centre (TCE) delivers testing services to the company's operations in Nanterre, leveraging a mature, well-defined, and proven testing methodology and strategy. The team is responsible for the full testing lifecycle, including test strategy definition, test design, execution, reporting, and closure activities.

TCE supports key business domains, notably Savings and Protection, and has successfully contributed to major projects involving critical applications such as ORION, HERA, and GLIS.

Key Responsibilities

Test Project Portfolio Management

  • Manage a portfolio of testing projects across multiple business initiatives.
  • Forecast, monitor, and control testing budgets, costs, quality metrics, and timelines.
  • Drive testing activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping through post-implementation warranty periods.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables while providing guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the project.

Test Strategy & Design

Lead the test scoping and design activities for multiple projects or agile tribes by:

  • Reviewing project documentation and proactively identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or missing testing requirements.
  • Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to define the overall testing strategy.
  • Defining appropriate test levels, test types, and testing approaches.
  • Coordinating business user involvement throughout test preparation and execution phases.
  • Ensuring the production, validation, and communication of all test design deliverables in accordance with company standards and commitments.
  • Providing regular progress updates to project managers and management teams.

Test Management & Planning

  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, estimations, schedules, and resource forecasts.
  • Identify and secure the required resources, environments, and tools for successful project delivery.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage testing risks and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate testing teams and communicate progress to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor adherence to project commitments related to budget, planning, and quality targets.
  • Provide governance and steering support for delegated testing activities, including validation of test strategies, plans, deliverables, and closure reports.

Test Execution Oversight

  • Assess readiness and make Go/No-Go recommendations for testing phases.
  • Ensure active participation from business users and stakeholders during test execution.
  • Oversee test execution activities to ensure alignment with project objectives and commitments.
  • Guarantee accurate logging and tracking of test results and defects within designated tools.
  • Produce and communicate testing status reports to project teams and management.
  • Deliver comprehensive execution reports detailing outcomes, risks, and recommendations.

Test Closure & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce final test reports and contribute to overall project closure documentation.
  • Identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in estimation techniques, testing processes, and methodologies.
  • Ensure all project and testing documentation is updated and properly archived.
  • Conduct project retrospectives and feedback sessions with testing team members.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Establish effective communication with project stakeholders through regular reporting and governance routines.
  • Lead testing governance meetings, including test progress reviews and defect management committees.
  • Provide key testing indicators and recommendations to support Go/No-Go decisions.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Support team organization, workload planning, and resource management.
  • Contribute to setting individual objectives and performance follow-up in collaboration with line managers.
  • Provide coaching and methodological guidance on testing best practices and project-related topics.
  • Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid environments).
  • Solid knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent testing knowledge is highly valued.
  • Previous experience in testing projects within the Life Insurance, Insurance, or Banking sectors is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing testing activities across multiple projects and stakeholders.

Language Requirements

  • French: Mandatory
  • English: Professional working proficiency (preferred)
