We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to join a strategic project focused on the evolution of a financial referential management application. The platform consolidates financial statement data from multiple sources, including public and market data providers, while also incorporating data extraction capabilities for unstructured documents.

The application plays a critical role in ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability across various financial referentials. By reducing reporting discrepancies and streamlining data integration processes, the solution aims to accelerate time-to-market and provide faster, more accurate insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, secure, and scale robust backend architectures.
• Develop and maintain applications using the Java Spring ecosystem.
• Implement and optimize APIs and data exposure services.
• Industrialize software delivery processes following CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users throughout validation and testing phases.
• Contribute to application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Strong experience in Java development, with deep expertise in the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and database development, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Microservices architecture
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Source code versioning (Git)
  • Clean Code principles
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, IBM Cloud, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ALM.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with financial data platforms or market data providers.
• Knowledge of data ingestion and processing for unstructured documents.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and API management solutions.

Languages

• English: Professional / Fluent level (mandatory)
• French: Basic knowledge is a plus
