Job Description
This position is part of the WM APS (Application Production Support) team and is focused on delivering high-quality Application Support and operational excellence within a banking environment.
The selected candidate will play a key role in handling incidents, service requests, and application support activities, participating in shift and on-call rotations. The role also includes contribution to service improvement initiatives and active participation in the bank’s Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and Live Play activities.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of core banking operations, solid troubleshooting skills, and experience in L1/L2 application support, combined with hands-on expertise in modern infrastructure and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incident management, service requests, and production support activities (L1/L2)
- Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments
- Contribute to the containerization of legacy applications
- Support provisioning, configuration, deployments, and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities
- Assist, mentor, and train other operations team members on Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Actively contribute to service improvement initiatives and operational stability
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments and command-line interface (CLI)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python and/or Bash preferred)
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation:
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Hands-on experience with container and orchestration technologies:
- Docker
- Kubernetes (K8s)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace)
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Travis, Concourse, or similar)
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure
- Knowledge of PL/SQL is considered a plus
- Experience in banking environments and application production support is highly valued

Qualifications & Certifications (Complementary Information)
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with a Cloud provider (IBM / AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible and Docker
