We are looking for an experienced Senior Storage Administrator to manage and ensure the reliability of our backup and recovery environments across three sites.

Your role:

• Manage and operate IBM TSM / Storage Protect environments (10 servers)
• Ensure data backup, recovery, retention policies, and system health
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform restores, and maintain documentation
• Propose improvements, procedures, and best practices
• Work closely with Infrastructure, DBA, and Security teams
• Participate in on-call rotation (CET timezone)

Required experience & skills:

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• Strong expertise in IBM TSM / Storage Protect (v8+) on AIX & Linux
• Advanced knowledge of backup, archives, tape libraries, and DB2 (SQL)
• Experience with VMware, NDMP, S3
• Scripting skills: Shell, Python, SQL
• Good communication skills; able to collaborate and train users
• English level B2–C1

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Dell / IBM / Hitachi storage
• Experience with IBM Power Systems (AIX, Linux)
• ITIL knowledge

On-call duty: Yes
 

Hybrid work, with 2/3 days of work in the office in LISBON per week.
