Job Description

This position offers a work-from-home schedule after an in-person onboarding, with periodic on-site team meetings and all-staff events. Candidate must reside in the state of Indiana or be willing to relocate by first day of employment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000-$59,000.

Are you passionate about relationship management, and supporting fundraising initiatives in higher education? Join the Indiana University Foundation’s (IUF) Prospect Management and Research (PMR) team as the Prospect Management Analyst and help drive IU’s fundraising success.

In this role, you’ll be a key player collaborating  with development officers across IU campuses, building and maintaining fundraiser portfolios while assisting in the development of prospect strategy plans. You will balance strategic tasks such as proposal and  data audits with relationship-driven responsibilities such as providing guidance, training, and collaboration to support fundraisers.

Additionally, over the course of a typical week, you will conduct portfolio reviews, lead virtual training sessions for fundraisers, and update our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) donor database to ensure donor data is accurate and current. Success in this position requires adaptability to shifting priorities, proactive problem-solving, and a strong commitment to team success.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field such as fundraising, prospect development, library sciences, data management, or nonprofit administration.
  • Experience working with large databases is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in higher education  working alongside faculty or fundraisers is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent client relationship and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with data tools like Excel for audits and reporting.
  • Comfortability delivering virtual training sessions or presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and discretion when working with confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, adapt to last-minute changes, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for learning and growth.
