Job Description

We’re seeking a Junior Front End Web Developer to support the Advancement Marketing Services department at the Indiana University Foundation. In this role, you will champion the user experience and apply your expertise to improve traffic, registration, and engagement outcomes. To do so, you will work closely with content specialists and stakeholders to arrange content with optimal user experience in mind, while encouraging deeper engagement in our digital spaces. At IUF, all our work builds to helping donors, alumni, and friends of IU connect closer to the exciting, innovative, and life-changing work happening at IU through their philanthropic support.

As the Junior Front End Web Developer, you will also oversee and monitor project design and ensure projects meet requirements outlined by clients in a timely and efficient manner. This role heavily focuses on supporting the use and maintenance of the event application in IU Advancement’s instance of Anthology, Encompass. This includes creating event registration forms, maintaining and updating the alumni directory, and serving as point-of-contact for the alumni community partners using Encompass for email marketing.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of two years of experience in web development required
  • Basic-level programming, testing, and implementation of database-driven web applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Experience with WCMS, Anthology Encompass, FireForms, or similar content management systems and online form applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with Workfront or a similar project management tool
  • Familiarity with email delivery and email campaign management
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM laws
  • Understanding of data segmentation
  • Ability to translate data segmentation requirements to Data Analysts and create data segments using data extensions as needed
  • Combination of education/career experience will be considered

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $55,000-$60,000.

Requires minimal physical effort. Long periods of sitting in front of computer terminal. Occasional relocation and installation of computer hardware of less than 30 pounds.
