Junior Consultant in Energy Transition
- Part-time
- Office: Hellerup
Job Description
Are you an aspiring management consultant eager to work on the energy transition and help companies accelerate the shift from fossil to renewable energy, electrify operations, and build new low-carbon value chains? We are growing our Energy & Climate team at Implement Consulting Group and are looking for bright, passionate students to join us from pre-summer or autumn 2026.
What you will do
As a Junior Consultant in energy transition, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic projects across the energy system and explore how markets, technology, and regulation are reshaping power, heat, and fuels. The role will be tailored to your skills and interests, but you should be excited about deepening your knowledge of energy markets, technologies, and commercial strategy, and curious about how digital tools and analytics can accelerate decision-making.
You will learn to apply robust methods and tools (e.g., power market fundamentals, LCOE/LCOS, business case and portfolio models, regulatory analysis, and scenario modelling) as part of real client work. We are at the forefront of accelerating the energy transition, with a commitment to innovation, impact, and pragmatic delivery for utilities, developers, OEMs, investors, and public stakeholders.
The role varies but includes one or more of the following:
Collaborating with energy companies, developers, suppliers, and investors to analyse and shape transition strategies and investments
Developing energy transition strategies and go-to-market approaches across power, flexibility, and low-carbon molecules (e.g., wind, solar, storage, hydrogen/PtX, and CCUS)
Supporting the shift from fossil to renewable energy through portfolio choices, partnerships, and ecosystem development
Building robust techno-economic models and business cases, including capex/opex benchmarking and sensitivity/scenario analysis
Preparing and supporting the delivery of regulatory strategy, impact assessments, and funding applications (e.g., EU Innovation Fund)
Creating strategic communication and decision-making materials, and delivering engaging client workshops
We expect a workload of 15–25 hours per week, with flexibility during exam and thesis periods, including where work permits impose restrictions on working hours (e.g., for non-EU/EEA students).
What you will bring
As we always put people first, the most important thing is that you are an empathetic person who enjoys working with goal-oriented colleagues.
That said, we are looking for students who have recently begun, or are about to begin, a master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering, ideally with energy-relevant courses or projects, and with excellent results. In addition, the right candidate:
Has strong analytical skills and a flair for problem-solving, including quantitative modelling and structured thinking
Can maintain a holistic view of the energy system while also being deeply interested in specific topics (e.g., power markets, hydrogen/PtX, storage, CCUS, e-mobility)
Has excellent communication skills and is fluent in written and spoken English (Danish is an advantage, as it may be required for certain projects and other client-facing work)
Is motivated to build a career in management consulting and collaborate in project teams, while also taking independent responsibility
Appreciates a flat organisation where results matter more than hierarchy, and where feedback is part of everyday work
Is curious about how digital tools, data, and analytics can transform decision-making in the energy transition
If you are also flexible and able to work independently under changing conditions – with support and mentorship from your colleagues – you will fit right in at Implement. If you do not meet every listed qualification but are excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.
What we offer
We offer a student role in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, Scandinavian-based consultancy, where you will quickly become involved in client projects and work closely with experienced consultants who will help you take your strategic understanding and analytical skills to the next level.

We work with a high degree of freedom and responsibility, and we support each other in our efforts to continuously improve how we help our clients achieve exceptional results.
