Job Description
About the role:
As a Product Analyst focused on Growth at Ignition, you will play an important role in enabling the Growth Group to make data-driven decisions. You'll support key stakeholders in understanding and using analytics tools like Amplitude, Segment, and Avo, empowering them to perform routine analysis independently while you provide additional support on more complex and impactful data initiatives.
Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, your role will centre around ensuring data accuracy and delivering meaningful insights that align with growth objectives. You'll collaborate with Product Managers and other team members to provide technical guidance, all while fostering a culture of self-sufficiency in data analytics within the group.
What your day to day will look like:
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and the Head of Growth to understand key product goals, user behaviour, and growth objectives
- Assist Product Managers in using analytics tools like Amplitude, enabling them to perform routine data analysis independently while supporting more complex queries
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for analytics tools such as Amplitude, Segment, and Avo, providing best practices and technical support
- Develop and maintain tracking plans to ensure accurate and effective data capture for product and growth analysis
- Ensure that data governance and tracking processes are followed, addressing challenges and ensuring data quality
- Work closely with Data Engineers and other analysts to align data infrastructure and governance with product needs
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, ensuring both technical and non-technical audiences can understand and act on them
How we do it
- We take a data-informed approach to product development, using tools like Amplitude, Segment, and Avo to track key metrics and provide actionable insights that guide our decisions
- Collaboration is at the heart of our process. Product Managers, Designers, Growth Leads, and Analysts work together to ensure strategies and initiatives are supported by clear, reliable data
- We encourage self-sufficiency within teams by empowering stakeholders to use analytics tools effectively, while providing deeper technical guidance and support when needed
- Data quality and governance are central to everything we do. We focus on maintaining accurate tracking plans and ensuring data is captured in a way that enables meaningful analysis
- Continuous improvement is part of our culture. We regularly review our analytics processes, tools, and tracking methods to refine and optimise how we gather and use data
- Clear, accessible communication is key. Insights are shared across teams in a way that allows everyone—from technical experts to non-technical stakeholders—to understand and act on the data
Qualifications
What you need to succeed:
- 3+ years of experience with digital analytics tools (Amplitude preferred) and a strong understanding of how to leverage them for product and growth insights
- Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on delivering business outcomes through data analysis and insights
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in data governance and developing tracking plans to ensure accurate data collection and effective analysis
- Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Segment or Hightouch, with experience managing data flows and integrations
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, while fostering a culture of self-sufficiency in data usage and insights
- Strong SQL skills, ideally with experience in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis in order to derive insights from complex data, ideally using Python
- Nice-to-have: experience with data modelling for business intelligence using dbt and/or Looker
