ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a Human Resources Intern who will work closely with the Division HR Director. As a Human Resources Intern, you will support HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and record maintenance. This role will work on special projects and initiatives from start to finish, witnessing tangible results that directly impact the organization while gaining exposure to our senior leaders and opportunities to build a professional network while contributing to fostering a positive workplace culture. 

This position is located in our San Luis Obispo, CA office. 

Job Description

Position Summary:

As part of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Intern, will combine their education with practical HR experience in core HR areas such as employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment & onboarding, and performance management. Assignments may include projects on workplace engagement, creating training presentations and employee communications.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support employee engagement initiatives across the division
  • Provide basic support for HR inquiries, forwarding complex questions to the appropriate party
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees, providing the necessary paperwork, and communicating with employees
  • Participate in the recruitment process of candidates for a variety of job functions
  • Support training and development related activities and human resources projects, as needed
  • Assist in a variety of HR projects
  • Additional duties & projects may be assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
  • Previous internship experience in an HR or Talent function, preferred
  • Competent working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity and a drive to excel

Additional Information

This is a temporary position working approximately 15-20 hours per week in our San Luis Obispo, CA office. This is NOT a remote position. Ideal candidates are available ASAP.

Pay Range is $20 to $24/ hour depending on expertise.
