Job Description

As Senior Compliance Manager and MLCO/CO for IQ-EQ (Guernsey) Limited, this role is pivotal in driving a strong culture of regulatory compliance across the business. It holds overall responsibility for ensuring adherence to applicable laws and standards, while proactively protecting the organisation from financial crime risks, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing, and safeguarding its reputation.

What you’ll do

  • You'll organise and execute the IQ-EQ Compliance Monitoring Programme and collaborate with the MLRO to strengthen AML and CFT policies, procedures, and controls.
  • You'll handle requests, inquiries, and audits from regulators, external auditors, and third-party auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • You'll provide expert guidance on internal compliance queries, including anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions, and Group Compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • You'll prepare and deliver quarterly and periodic Board reports, presenting key compliance activities, findings, and risk-related updates.
  • You'll establish and manage a rolling risk-based audit and review programme, examining business entities, assessing compliance risks, and producing reports for quarterly Board meetings and the HRCRC.

Qualifications

 

  • You have a professional qualification such as ICA or an equivalent certification, demonstrating expertise in compliance
  • You have strong compliance management experience, ideally within private wealth or funds environments
  • You have sound knowledge of the Guernsey financial services industry and its regulatory framework
  • You have prior experience holding prescribed regulatory roles, such as Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO)
  • You have the ability to apply your regulatory knowledge and experience to manage compliance responsibilities effectively
