Job Description

Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team as a Senior Officer specializing in U.S. partnership taxation for private equity structures. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in partnership tax compliance and advisory, with a strong understanding of private equity funds, management companies, and general partners

What you'll do

  • You prepare and review U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065), corporation tax returns (Form 1120), related schedules (K-1, K-2/K-3), and supporting tax workpapers using client financial data.
  • You ensure the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, tax estimates, and extensions for private equity funds, management companies, and general partners (GPs).
  • You provide technical expertise on partnership allocations, basis calculations, carried interest, tax planning strategies, and U.S. tax regulations, while staying current on IRS guidance and legislative changes.
  • You drive process improvements by identifying automation opportunities, implementing best practices, maintaining strong documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • You effectively manage workloads, meet deadlines, proactively communicate risks or planning changes, exercise sound judgment in escalating issues, and take ownership of your professional development while supporting business needs.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 6+ years of U.S. partnership tax experience in private equity; a CA, CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • You possess strong expertise in Subchapter K, partnership allocations, tax compliance, and related regulations, with proficiency in GoSystem (or similar tax software), advanced Excel, Microsoft Office, and tax research and problem-solving.
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate professionally with stakeholders.
  • You can effectively manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and deliver accurate, detail-oriented results while remaining flexible to work U.S. shifts.
  • You are a proactive, goal-oriented professional who consistently demonstrates accountability, integrity, reliability, strong work ethics, discipline, positivity, and attention to detail.
