Job Description

The accountant 2, Corporate Accounting will handle low to moderate complexity accounting tasks independently while supporting the broader accounting team. This role focuses on delivering accurate and timely financial information while building expertise in client requirements and industry practices.

What you will do:

  • You'll execute core accounting functions including bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entry posting, and financial statement preparation while adhering to relevant accounting standards and prescribed guidelines
  • You'll manage assigned mailboxes, gather and maintain source documents, prepare working schedules and papers, and conduct self-reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables
  • You'll prepare and compile data for tax and VAT filings, assist with audit queries, and support regulatory reporting activities while addressing review comments promptly
  • You'll address moderate complexity accounting queries independently, escalate complex issues to senior team members, and complete required checklists and sign-offs in accordance with established procedures
  • You'll seek feedback and training opportunities for professional development, support team members in basic client communication, and perform other related duties as assigned to meet role and business needs

Qualifications

About you:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or ACCA Level 1 or ACA qualification
  • You bring 2 years of experience in Corporate Accounting

you will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • You will demonstrate proficiency in accounting standards, tax and VAT regulations, and compliance protocols with demonstrated expertise in preparing working schedules, journal entries, working papers, and financial statements; you will be able to independently address moderate complexity accounting queries and conduct thorough self-reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
  • You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication abilities; you will be detail-oriented and proactive in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines; you will demonstrate a collaborative mindset with commitment to professional development, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering high-quality results whilst remaining open to feedback and training opportunities.
