Job Description

Role summary

IQ‑EQ is committed to the highest standards of legal, ethical, and regulatory compliance, placing strong emphasis on honesty, integrity, and protecting its reputation. The Group Risk & Compliance (GRC) function supports the Board and senior management by delivering an integrated risk and compliance programme that ensures adherence to regulatory obligations and strengthens the Group’s risk management framework. The Manager, Group Financial Crime Compliance role supports this mission by working closely with the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Compliance within a dedicated team, focusing on the development and ongoing maintenance of robust Group Financial Crime Compliance and Risk Management Programmes. The role plays a key part in ensuring effective financial crime prevention controls are in place at Group level and that employees understand and meet their financial crime prevention obligations as the Group continues to expand.

The role holder reports to the SMFCC and works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including Financial Crime Officers across the Group, to drive best practice across the Group in all matters Financial Crime related.

  • You’ll support the Group Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) function by maintaining and strengthening Financial Crime Risk Management and Compliance Programmes across AML, terrorist and proliferation financing, sanctions, bribery and corruption, fraud, and tax evasion.
  • You’ll maintain Group FCC standards, registers, and policy documentation, conduct periodic policy reviews, track high‑risk exposures, and provide assurance on regulatory compliance, control effectiveness, and emerging financial crime risks.
  • You’ll analyse system reports, oversee group‑wide screening (including PEPs and high‑risk countries), support acquisition due diligence, and escalate financial crime concerns in line with Group Minimum Standards.
  • You’ll prepare and present clear, accurate reporting for senior stakeholders (Group Management, Regional CEOs, and Risk & Compliance Committees) and actively contribute to Financial Crime Network forums.
  • You’ll promote a strong financial crime compliance culture by updating training materials, managing FCC communications, coordinating network activities, issuing internal alerts, and reinforcing the Group’s zero‑tolerance approach to financial crime.

Qualifications

  • You have strong experience in second‑line Financial Crime Compliance, ideally supported by a legal or financial regulatory qualification (e.g. LLB, LLM), and 3–4 years’ experience within a regulated financial services environment.
  • You bring a proven track record in overseeing and managing financial crime risks, with solid knowledge of financial crime legislation, compliant FC programmes, and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements effectively.
  • You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, self‑driven approach, with experience managing registers, analysing data, writing reports, drafting procedures or training materials, and delivering to strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • You communicate and influence effectively, producing high‑quality reports and engaging governance content, managing challenging stakeholders, and collaborating confidently across teams in fast‑paced, complex environments.
  • You are adaptable, resilient, solution‑oriented, and proactive in your development, with high emotional intelligence, strong organisational skills, fluency in written and spoken English, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
