Job Description

  • Lead and supervise welding and NDT activities during EPC, fabrication and construction phases.
  • Review welding/NDT procedures, specifications, ITPs and technical documentation.
  • Monitor Contractor and Subcontractor compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate Welding Inspectors, NDT personnel and related QA/QC activities.
  • Provide technical support during engineering, fabrication and construction.
  • Identify and resolve welding, NDT and quality issues.
  • Review NDT results, repairs, NCRs and technical deviations.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Construction and EPC teams.
  • Monitor progress, quality and Contractor performance.
  • Provide regular technical and progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G welding and NDT activities on large-scale international projects.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar Welding/NDT Engineer or supervisory role.
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • IWE or equivalent welding qualification required.
  • PCN, COFREND or equivalent NDT certification preferred/required.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ISO and relevant international standards.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in NDT inspection methods.
  • Experience with EPC, fabrication and construction environments.
  • Experience with TotalEnergies General Specifications is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, coordination and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural international project environment.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.

  • Location: Beijing, China during the detailed engineering period. After the end of the detailed engineering – Baku, Azerbaijan
