Join one of the world's largest LNG developments, the Mozambique LNG Project. This multi-billion-dollar deepwater gas development includes subsea production systems, offshore installation campaigns, and onshore LNG facilities designed for a 25-year production life. Based in Pemba, Mozambique, this role supports the safe and successful execution of critical offshore lifting, load-out, transportation, and installation activities within a complex international EPCI environment.

Job Description

  • Coordinate and supervise offshore lifting, load-out, and installation activities.
  • Review and verify lifting plans, rigging arrangements, and installation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and approved work procedures.
  • Monitor certification, maintenance, and inspection status of lifting equipment and rigging.
  • Participate in risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Interface with contractors, Marine Warranty Surveyors, vessel personnel, and project stakeholders.
  • Support readiness reviews and certification processes for load-out, sail-away, transportation, and installation activities.
  • Act as Project/Field Engineer onboard installation vessels during offshore campaigns.
  • Perform night-shift Company Representative duties when required.
  • Promote safe execution and continuous improvement of lifting and installation operations.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in deepwater offshore installation projects.
  • Proven experience in offshore lifting, rigging, load-out, and marine installation operations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards including DNV and API.
  • Ability to review and assess contractor engineering studies, procedures, and execution plans.
  • Experience with HSE management, risk assessments, and operational safety processes.
  • Strong contractor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Current BOSIET certification.
  • Willingness to work a 28/28 rotational schedule in Pemba, Mozambique, including offshore assignments and vessel-based work.
