The Mozambique LNG Project is a world-class, strategic LNG development with an overall investment exceeding USD 20 billion.

The onshore facilities comprise two LNG trains (total capacity of 13 mtpa), LNG and condensate storage, marine and jetty loading facilities, utilities, and extensive early site infrastructure including resettlement villages, security works, airport, permanent camps, and road networks.

The onshore EPC contracts represent approximately USD 9 billion, with construction activities valued at around USD 4 billion.

At peak, the project workforce will exceed 15,000 personnel.

The project is executed in a remote and challenging environment in Northern Mozambique, within a multinational joint venture framework, subject to high HSE, quality, social performance, and lender compliance standards.

Job Description

As a Utilities Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the pre-commissioning and commissioning of site utilities systems and subsystems.

  • Ensuring safe and on-schedule handover of facilities to Operations.

  • Coordinating with Engineering, Contracting, Procurement, Construction, and Operations teams.

  • Participating in the development of engineering deliverables for commissioning activities.

  • Managing interfaces with contractors and vendors on-site.

  • Monitoring compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.

  • Supporting operations during SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) and completing remaining commissioning scope after hydrocarbon introduction.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent with strong international experience in site utilities.

Experience:

  • 15+ years in onshore/offshore projects.

  • 10+ years in a supervisory role (managing 5+ personnel).

  • 10+ years commissioning experience in Control & Instrumentation, including 5+ years in senior roles.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of Site Utilities systems.

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to manage contractors and multi-disciplinary interfaces effectively.

  • Committed to safety and project schedule compliance.
