Job Description
Accounting Intern: June through August (student school schedule dependent).
This role offers a range of $19 to $22 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.
The Accounting intern, under the general direction of the Assistant Controller, will assist the accounting department with various tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets maintenance, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and general ledger maintenance. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced accounting environment and will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals.
- Assist in reviewing and processing rebates to customers.
- Assist in reconciliation of several bank accounts (multiple currencies) and make proper adjusting entries.
- Assist in fixed asset maintenance, additions, transfers, and disposals.
- Assist in preparation of account reconciliations/account analysis.
- Support month-end process activity & reporting.
- Assist in KPMG and JSOX requests (sales and journal entry testing).
- Assist in review of monthly expenses, investigate variances and fluctuations and make the proper reclass entries.
- Assist with managing journal entries for the department.
- Assist in filing census reports for various segments.
- File and maintain/manage all internal reporting for the department.
- Various other projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered to this opportunity, you will be required to be:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
