Job Description
We are experiencing tremendous growth in our Digital ink division, and we invite you to be a part of the exciting and growing team at our state-of-the-art R&D center in West Chicago. If you are a Digital Ink Chemist with 15 years' experience who enjoys solving problems and creating solutions in constantly growing and evolving markets, this position is a great opportunity for you!
As a Senior Digital R&D Chemist at INX you will work with a diverse team committed to cutting-edge innovation, problem-solving, and sustainability. One third of our R&D team has been with INX 15+ years, due in large part to a collaborative team culture and autonomous work environment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Formulating inks and coatings
- Developing new inkjet technologies based on customer needs.
- Evaluating raw materials and optimizing formulations for cost-savings opportunities.
- Troubleshooting issues with existing technologies as well as customer challenges Providing technical support to manufacturing
- Publishing project reports & other documents direct to sales & customers
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, OR equivalent experience
- Have a minimum of 15 years of inkjet ink formulation experience
- Have a history of successful product development leading to commercial products
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of inkjet printing processes
- Be able to interpret data and draw effective conclusions
- Demonstrate strong Math and Science skills
- Be proficient with record-keeping
- Have good and effective written, reading comprehension and verbal skills
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
- SAP experience
- Knowledge & experience with UV curing processes and formulations
