Job Description

So, what will you do?
- You will be responsible for assisting with the management of an iKStore with full ownership and accountability when the Store Manager is not on site.
- You will also be accountable for driving monthly sales, activation ratio’s, staff route planning for outbound activities, proactively creating revenue-generating opportunities in line with iKhokha performance goals.
- You will be opening & closing the store with adherence to trading times according to iKStore operating hours and assisting in creating efficient and delightful merchant instore experiences.
- You will act as an immediate support to sales agents within the iKStore network.
- You will oversee the stock management processes within the iKStore.
In addition to the above, you will:
- Be accountable for the performance of agents based in the designated store and dialling leads generated in field for conversion as well as driving sales.
- Assist with traction on store ratings online and providing great customer service.
- Provide In-field supervision of the sales agent as well as train and coach field & in-store agents.
- Adherence to store operating hours.
- Provide assistance on in profile creations for merchants and conduct check-ins with merchants previously visited by agents.
- Monitor productivity of staff daily as per company requirement and management of time and attendance.
- Assisting with stock management by receiving and dispatching stock as well as weekly stock takes and cycle counting.
- Basic understanding of POS systems for stock management and management of store asset registers.
- Report back to internal stakeholders weekly and monthly on store performance.
- Report to the Store manager daily regarding feedback on general in-store activity.
- Reporting to logistics/finance on any stock queries.
- Report in required market insights within the designated area.
Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) is required.
Deal Breakers:
Minimum 1 year field or retail experience, ideally in an Assistant Store Manager or similar role with the following:
- Cold calling sales experience with the ability to convert cold and warm leads gathered by sales staff.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as experience in CRM systems, preferably Hubspot.
- An understanding of retail and branch operating dynamics.
- Basic understanding of logistics processes and best practice of managing stock inflows and outflows.
- Strong skills in professional communication over the phone as well as strong commercial skills and business acumen, with the ability to execute against sales and customer service targets.
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills with proven ability to coach and energise salespeople in the branch environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak both English and vernacular language within designated store.

- Organizational, planning and strong negotiation skills.
- A confident and assertive communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Operationally strong with tactical thinking skills and solid analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to manage sales performance against assigned targets.
- Solutions oriented and excellent team-worker who is able to motivate, manage, coach and lead a junior team.
