Job Description
Job Purpose
Oversee infrastructure uplift projects and performance for customers’ hub, platinum and terminal sites across the company’s tower portfolio.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Advisory Role: Provide advice to senior management, especially the Director, Regional Operations, on infrastructure priorities, equipment scheduling, and policy matters.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organize kick-off meetings with relevant stakeholders to initiate projects effectively.
- Report Coordination: coordinate and track reports
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of project plans, deliverables, expectations, and outcomes.
- Progress Updates: Keep the Director, Regional Operations informed about project status, deliverables, obstacles, milestones, and impacts.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve project issues to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
- MSP Support: Assist Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in meeting project deadlines.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the field Team to ensure smooth project completion.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvement in passive infrastructure operating and maintenance standards.
- Network Performance: Monitor network performance before and after infrastructure upgrades, making necessary adjustments.
- Infrastructure Coordination: coordinate the implementation of network infrastructure optimization projects across all tower sites.
- Operational Planning: Translate company strategic objectives into actionable operational plans with clear roadmaps and milestones.
- Project Closure: Manage the processing of Job Completion Certificates (JCCs) and ensure financial closure of projects.
- Budget Input: Contribute to the department's planning and budgeting process.
- Communication: Encourage effective communication among colleagues to facilitate information flow and issue resolution.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the Director, Regional Operations on all matters related to the Projects team.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with partners and vendors.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Be ready to perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Regional operation.
- Planning and execution of asset verification and audit, investigation and reporting on variances, making necessary recommendations to resolve discrepancies, and feeding into the fixed asset register.
- Develop and maintain strategic and annual asset management plans aligned with the company strategy and budget. Collaborate and consult with stakeholder functions where applicable to provide analysis and inputs to the asset planning process.
- Develop and oversee mechanism for managing, measuring, and maintaining EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) processes.
- Provide facilities and mechanisms to support and safeguard assets throughout their life cycle.
- Establish and execute a performance management system to evaluate effective utilization of assets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering and/ or related discipline.
- Advanced degree and/ or project management certifications, such as PRINCE2, PMP, etc, will be an asset.
- +10 years’ relevant experience in the telecoms industry.
