Job Description

The HR Business Partner will own the HR agenda for the India tech entity, partnering closely with Business leaders to drive scale, performance, and engagement. This role leads end-to-end employee lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and alignment with global people strategies in a high-growth, technology-driven environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic HR Business Partnering  

• Partner with India leadership, Business owners and Global HRBPs to enable growth, innovation, and delivery excellence. 
• Advise leaders on org design, workforce planning, and capability development in a scaling tech environment. 
• Support transformation initiatives including agile ways of working and leadership effectiveness. 

End-to-End Employee Lifecycle Ownership 

• Own the complete employee lifecycle for India tech talent including hiring, onboarding, development, engagement, and exits. 
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and hiring strategies. 

Performance, Talent & Rewards 

• Drive goal setting, performance cycles, and calibration processes. 
• Support promotions, merit increases, and bonus cycles with strong governance. 

Employee Relations & Advisory 

• Lead employee relations including grievances, disciplinary cases, and investigations. 
• Coach managers on performance management and sensitive employee matters. 

India Compliance & Governance 

• Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws including Shops & Establishments, PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and Maternity Benefits. 
• Partner with payroll providers, legal counsel, and auditors. 

HR Operations & Systems 

• Govern payroll accuracy, HRIS data integrity, and reporting. 
• Implement and adapt global HR policies locally. 

Change Management & Scaling 

• Support rapid growth, restructures, and tech reorganizations. 
• Act as a change champion during transformations. 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of HR experience with strong HR Business Partnering background in tech or digital organizations. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Professional HR certification is a plus.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end HR for an India tech entity & experience in handling employees across India.  
  • Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws and global HR practices. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in HR data analysis.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
