Job Description
IFS is seeking a forward-thinking AI Intern for a 10 to 12-week internship to support our innovation initiatives in applying AI and machine learning within the IFS Cloud platform. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to design, build, and validate AI solutions that extend the intelligence of our ERP offering—unlocking predictive insights, automation, and smarter decision-making for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the regional AI lead and the CTO Office to research and prototype AI capabilities aligned with ERP, EAM, and FSM workflows.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data from IFS Cloud modules (e.g., manufacturing, finance, supply chain, service) to extract insights.
- Build, test, and evaluate ML models for real-world use cases such as:
- Predictive maintenance for assets
- AI-driven demand forecasting and inventory optimization
- Intelligent resource planning and scheduling
- Natural language search and chatbot integration within IFS Cloud
- Assist in the design of explainable and responsible AI features aligned with IFS’s ethical AI practices.
- Participate in internal demos and innovation sprints, presenting your work to stakeholders across product and engineering.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts, model lifecycle, and common frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and data-wrangling techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or business processes in manufacturing, field service, or asset management is a strong plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and data pipeline tools is beneficial.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to solve complex business challenges through AI.
