Job Description
The AI Trust and Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that IFS AI capabilities are safe, compliant, secure and operationally well run. The position sits within the IFS Trust Office, which forms part of the IFS AI Business Unit. The AI Business Unit is a commercially focused, execution driven and sales led function responsible for accelerating customer adoption of AI and positioning IFS as the trusted leader of Industrial AI. The Trust Office provides practical customer facing assurance, governance evidence, operational confidence and the integration of governance, ethics and compliance into all AI activities. This is a hands on and delivery focused role that directly supports IFS in its ambition to position and maintain the company as the trusted leader of Industrial AI. The work requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Legal and go to market teams, with a clear expectation to execute, deliver and move work forward with tangible outputs.
Responsibilities
AI Operations and Administration (A disciplined engine room that keeps AI activities running reliably, consistently and audit ready across the business)
- Deliver internal AI trust assessments with clear outputs and complete documentation
- Manage purchase orders, invoices and procurement activities
- Maintain operational trackers, metrics and reporting to support Trust Office visibility
- Support administration of AI governance and monitoring tools
- Manage AI artefact repositories and internal readiness documentation
- Coordinate cross functional readiness for AI releases and trust reviews
- Contribute practical, execution focused outputs to the Trust Office roadmap
AI Technical Governance (The technical backbone that ensures every AI model is safe, explainable, compliant and ready for scrutiny).
- Conduct AI threat and risk assessments across models, data flows and AI enabled features
- Apply governance, ethics and compliance requirements into operational workflows
- Complete model assurance reviews covering risk, fairness, transparency, safety and security
- Work closely with engineering teams on model testing, monitoring and lifecycle controls
- Integrate privacy by design and complete supporting DPIA documentation
- Produce and maintain trust artefacts such as model cards, risk registers and assurance packs
- Support alignment with standards including ISO 42001, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301
- Maintain the AI risk register and support internal governance reviews
AI Commercial and Customer Facing (The assurance layer that gives customers the evidence, clarity and confidence they need to adopt AI at scale)
- Respond rapidly to customer trust, security and compliance enquiries with ready to use materials
- Support customer due diligence, tenders and audit requests with high quality deliverables
- Provide trust evidence and content to Sales, Pre Sales and go to market teams
- Maintain a consistent customer facing Trust Pack
- Enable partners to meet IFS trust expectations through guidance and alignment
- Support procurement panels, assurance interviews and stakeholder review
- Help position IFS AI as explainable, auditable and operationally accountable across customer engagements
Qualifications
These are the essential requirements for the role.
- Experience in AI governance, ethics and compliance, AI risk management, cyber security or data privacy
- Understanding of AI development practices including model behaviour, data quality, testing and evaluation
- Familiarity with frameworks such as GDPR, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the EU AI Act
- Clear communication skills with a strong focus on delivery and follow through
- Experience working with Sales, Marketing or customer facing teams
- Experience in or exposure to IFS industrial verticals such as Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defence, Energy and Utilities, Telecommunications or Service Management is highly advantageous
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
These capabilities significantly strengthen the profile.
- Experience conducting AI threat and risk assessments in real world environments
- Practical experience applying frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI guidance, the NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 42001, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301
- Experience using AI governance tooling, model evaluation platforms or MLOps environments
- Awareness of ISACA Advanced AI Security Management guidance
- Experience producing customer facing trust, security or compliance documentation
- Strong understanding of LLM behaviour, safety testing and monitoring
- Experience completing business operations tasks such as purchase orders, invoicing or procurement
- Professional certifications in data protection, cyber security, cloud, risk or AI governance
- Direct experience within IFS aligned industrial verticals is significantly more valuable than consultancy only backgrounds
