Job Description

IFS Ultimo, an IFS company headquartered in the Netherlands with more than 2400 global customers, is a leading Enterprise Asset Management software provider with a strong reputation for the completeness, flexibility, and configurability of its SaaS EAM solutions.

We’re building the next generation agentic AI framework — intelligent, agentic approach  that shifts industrial asset management from reactive maintenance to autonomous, proactive operations . Our platform will empower digital agents to onboard assets, manage maintenance, optimize stock, and support technicians — all through intelligent, context-aware interaction.

As part of this mission, we're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our cross-functional development team in Sri Lanka. You will be the functional cornerstone of our agentic AI framework translating asset management needs into smart, context-aware functionality.

You’ll be embedded in a multidisciplinary product team, working closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and Software Developers. Your core objectives: ensure user needs are refined, enriched, and translated into agentic behaviors that enable proactive, autonomous decision-making.

You're passionate about transforming manual workflows into self-learning digital interactions and bring curiosity, precision, and initiative to requirements analysis and cross-team collaboration.

This job opening is in the Ultimo team of IFS

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into agentic functionality within Ultimo.
  • Refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring features are ready for agent execution.
  • Translate requirements into dynamic interactions — guiding how digital agents understand and act on maintenance tasks, asset onboarding, and technician support.
  • Contribute to AI-enhanced UI/UX development by capturing and modeling user intent for agentic responses.
  • Own the intake and functional triage of reported issues, aligning resolutions with our intelligent systems roadmap.
  • Write implementation documentation that supports both traditional users and autonomous agents.
  • Conduct product demos, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and gather user feedback via customer panels

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Technical Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Business IT & Management
  • 4 years of experience in the profession as a Technical business analyst
  • Proven experience in translating complex business processes into structured functional solutions.
  • Familiarity or enthusiasm for AI, agents, or semantic systems.
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable engaging with both technical teams and end-users.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Familiar with the Agile/Scrum method of working.
  • Experience with working in a multidisciplinary team
  • A background in user interface/user experience (UI/UX) and understanding user behavior is highly desirable.
