WorkWave is a field service management software that provides SaaS solutions for businesses in the service industry (HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical, Cleaning, Lawn & Landscape, Home Delivery, Logistics & Distribution). 'IFS empowers these businesses to deliver exceptional customer experiences and grow their customer base on our efficient and easy-to-use platform.

Job Description

This role directly reports to VP Software Engineering/CTO of WorkWave with local reporting to Vice President Software Operations in Sri Lanka and involves overseeing all aspects of software development and operational functions of WorkWave organization.

As the Senior/Director Software Operations, your primary directive will encompass the growth and enhancement of the WorkWave operation, including the recruitment of top-tier talent to fortify WorkWave products. In this critical role you will ensure efficient and effective delivery of software products and services and will work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of excellence in software development and operations.

Additionally, you will,

  • Demonstrate a strong business acumen in decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrate experience with SAAS (Software as a Service) offerings.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the WorkWave operation in Sri Lanka.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide guidance to team members to ensure their professional growth.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Foster open and transparent communication within the team and across the organization.
  • Manage the overall budget and invoicing aspect for software operations.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for bonus structures based on team performance.

Qualifications

 

  • University degree or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Strong software engineering background with minimum 10+ years’ experience
  • Experience in strong leadership skills, with a proven track record in operation and line management.
  • Experience with building high-performance teams; the bar is high, and you have high expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering principles, iterative software development, including agile methodologies and cloud computing

Additional Information

  • Experience with ASP.NET or .NET Core
  • Experience with React or other JS development.
  • Experience working with management teams in Europe and US.
  • Experience in Field Service Management industry
