We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cloud Specialist to join our growing technology team in Broadmeadows, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions that support our organization's digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining organized and efficient cloud environments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud platforms
  • Monitor cloud systems and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning and configuration management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related incidents and performance issues in a timely manner
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies, compliance standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployment and integration
  • Analyze and optimize cloud resource utilization to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Plan and execute cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services
  • Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security protocols, and firewall management
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools and practices
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies and containerization concepts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level cloud environments

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Multi-cloud platform experience and expertise
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and deployment automation
  • Cloud cost optimization and resource management experience
  • Industry-recognized certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or equivalent)
  • Experience with database management and optimization in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver)

Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of IT experience, with significant hands-on cloud engineering/architecture experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • ITIL 4
  • Microsoft Certified - Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
  • Microsoft Certified - Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified – Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
  • Microsoft Certified - Azure AI Engineer (AZ-102)
  • Microsoft Certified – Azure Network Engineer (AZ-700)
  • Microsoft Certified - Azure Data Fundamentals
  • Awareness of other advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional)
  • Combined with demonstrated experience influencing strategic outcomes and leading complex initiatives
