Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Ware, United Kingdom. This is a rewarding permanent position where you will make a genuine difference in the lives of our service users. You will provide essential support and care in a community-based setting, working alongside an experienced team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.   • Provide personal care support to service users, including assistance with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support service users with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users, including their homes and communal spaces
  • Communicate effectively with service users, listening to their needs and preferences with patience and empathy
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • Assist with meal preparation and support service users with eating and drinking where required
  • Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing to appropriate team members
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality at all times
  • Support service users with social activities and engagement to promote their wellbeing and independence
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, and organizational policies
  • Undertake training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in care provision
  • Demonstrate person-centered care practices that respect individual preferences and promote service user autonomy

Qualifications

**Qualifications:** - Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with service users and colleagues

  • Physical capability to deliver hands-on personal care support - Proven reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance record - Capacity to work flexibly, including shift work patterns as required - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment - Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly regarding health and safety compliance
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage the emotional demands inherent in care work - Commitment to supporting vulnerable adults in accordance with person-centred care principles - Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (or willingness to undergo this as part of the recruitment process)
  • Comprehensive onboarding training will be provided **Desirable Qualifications:** - First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training - Verifiable experience in a care, healthcare, or customer service environment - Valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based support
