Home Instead are recruiting for people who want to make a difference to or elderly clients in the local community. Can you give support to a client in need? Could you bring extra into somebody’s life? If yes, then caring may be the role for you. Home Instead provide one to-one care services within the client’s household.  You will be visiting your client matches and providing high-quality, private care services to suit the individual requiring support. We are looking for people who can cover the towns and villages near Petts Wood.  

What makes Home Instead different:

• We also offer 0-hour contracts for those looking for flexibility and have limited availability. Guaranteed contracts offered after 3 months service. 
• Salary rate: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour
• Additional to the above hourly rate, you will be paid for any travel time between clients at 11.44 Per hour (pro rata)
• Additional fuel allowance of 30p per mile
• Double bank holiday pay rate
• Client matches – once you make a match you will keep returning to same person and enjoy a close relationship.

Home Instead carers are trained in the following subjects:

• Personal hygiene care.
• Medication management.
• Basic Life support.
• Moving & handling.
• Food safety.
• Dementia awareness.
• Fire safety.
• Safeguarding adults.
• You will work towards achieving your Care certificate.

Home Instead Carers will deliver the following client services:

• Minimum of 1-hour visits with the client’s home.
• Assisting with personal hygiene practices.
• Administering or prompting medication.
• Light housekeeping.
• Shopping & running ad-hoc errands.
• Companionship services.
• Meal preparation.
• Nutrition and hydration support
• Liaising with the Home Instead & daily record keeping.
• Building a strong relationship & connecting on a personal level.

Offers are subject to the following stages:

• Completion of application & face to face interview.
• Successful references.
• Paid training (two half days in house) & online home learning.
• Clear enhanced DBS. (£53.70 paid back to you after 3 months service)
• Shadowing clients with a senior care professional.
• Own transportation necessary – Must have business cover on insurance.
