Job Description

We are actively recruiting for kind, compassionate, natural CAREGivers that will become a part of something truly special. No previous paid experience or training is required for this role but the ambition to change the face of ageing. As our care and compassion extend to our CAREGivers, we invest in training, promoting a strong teamwork ethic and making sure our CAREGivers have the support and resources they need to reach their full potential.

We encourage and promote a healthy work-life balance and good mental health and wellbeing for our CAREGivers by offering part-time work as well as career progression through thorough training, mentorship and support, as well as company benefits to enhance each CAREGivers journey in Home Instead Senior Care. This is also a great part-time opportunity for students in health and social care, or who cannot take on full-time/permanent jobs, to start building a professional profile in their own time, be trained on practical skills and gain first-hand experience in social care. 

Duties vary from offering companionship to independent clients to providing home and personal care to elderly with Alzheimer's and Dementia. We offer consistency, reliability and relationship-based care to our clients. Our CAREGivers are always carefully picked and matched with compatible clients to ensure we offer the best person-centred care and our visits are always at least 1 hour to enhance the relationship between the CAREGiver and the client. Contrary to other care companies, we do not expect our CAREGivers to wear a uniform, however, we are keen on finding people that are aligned with Home Instead Senior Care values, have genuine interest and care towards elderly with care needs, have great interpersonal skills and are diligent in providing the best care standards possible.

Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service.

-        Ability to do evening and weekend work desirable
